Evening Primrose
- Evening primrose oil (EPO) is obtained from the seeds of evening primrose plant and contains a special fatty acid called gamma linolenic acid (GLA).
- Nuvida Evening Primrose is cold pressed as this helps maintain the most active nutrients within the supplement.
- GLA is one of the omega 6 fatty acids and is required by the body to produce substances known as prostaglandins which are important for our health.
- Prostaglandins affect the immune system, circulation and menstrual cycles. Both lifestyle and psychological factors (such as stress, over consumption of alcohol, unhealthy diets, viruses, etc) can hinder the body's production of GLA.
